Friends of the Children – SF Bay Area began serving our first class of 32 Bayview Hunters Point children in the summer of 2017, we’re planning to add a new class of kindergarteners each year, and we’ll soon be serving 500 children. In the words of Mayor London Breed (see video below), we plan to “change what is normal in low-income neighborhoods in our city, so that all children grow and thrive in San Francisco!”
