June 17, 2022 Our First Class of Youth Just Graduated 5th Grade! Summer is the season to celebrate growth and here at Friends of the Children – SF Bay Area we have a lot to celebrate. On June 7th, we hosted our first-ever graduation ceremony for the 27 fifth graders who joined our program as kindergarteners in our 2017 inaugural class. They will be moving on to middle school in the Fall! The youth in our program have grown immensely in their five years with us, and they’re still soaking up the love, support and guidance of their Mentors. We’re looking forward to walking beside them for another seven years and attending their high school graduations in 2029!
