August 17, 2022 Announcing a Catalytic Gift Friends-SF Receives $2.4 Million from MacKenzie Scott We are pleased to announce that we have received a $2.4 million gift from MacKenzie Scott. This generous donation will go far in supporting our programs to break generational poverty and help those in need. It is a tremendous show of support for our organization, and we are so grateful to Ms. Scott for her compassion and generosity. We are honored to have been selected by such a highly regarded philanthropist known for identifying organizations with a strong track record of serving under-supported needs. This is the single largest gift ever received by Friends-SF. The funding will enable us to serve more children, make strategic investments in our program, and build the financial stability necessary to underwrite our long-term commitment to each child. Thank you again, MacKenzie! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For any questions please contact Warner Johnston (wj@5borough.us, 415-692-4860) Media KitPress ReleaseLogoPhotos | Friends SF Program Model | Executive Director Biography | Board LeadershipYouTube: Power of One Video - One Friend.
