Professional Mentor

Treasure joined Friends of the Children-SF Bay Area in August 2023 excited to serve as a Professional Mentor for Friends of the Children in her own community. Treasure joins the team with more than 3 years of experience in the mentoring field, and believes her skills and experience make her an excellent fit for this role. Treasure has worked with Bayview organizations including the Boys and Girls Club, and several schools in the San Francisco Unified School district including, Mission High School, Malcolm X Academy and Leola M. Harvard Early Education. In all her positions, Treasure has focused on reaching out to youth, making sure they have a safe space and that they know there are people who can relate to them and their situations and truly care for them when they think no one else does.

Treasure’s goals are to develop a comprehensive understanding of youth, implement priority programs, essential activities, connect with youth, and build trust and bonds with youth. She also looks forward to coordinating special programming to improve healthy relationships, wellness, and general well-being. 

Treasure grew up in the Bayview Hunters Point district of San Francisco, and giving back to the youth and families in her community has been a goal she has always dreamed of. When not working, Treasure enjoys playing with her child and going on outings with her family.
