TaSin Sabir

Communications Manager

TaSin Sabir is an Oakland born artist, storyteller, and mom who brings heart and creativity to her role as Communications Manager at Friends of the Children SF Bay Area. She has spent over a decade working at the intersection of art and advocacy, using her creativity to spark connection and change, leading campaigns, designing visual stories, and creating space for people to be seen and heard. TaSin holds a BFA from California College of the Arts and is the author of two photography books, Madagascar Made and 100 Families Oakland. She’s also the creator of the Big Kids Can series, inspired by her three sons. Alongside her creative work, TaSin supports local media as a layout designer and former photojournalist for the San Francisco Bay View newspaper. Whether she’s behind the camera or building a campaign, TaSin believes powerful stories can move people and make a difference.
