Heaven joined Friends of the Children–SF Bay Area in January 2025, bringing five years of experience in youth development and a strong dedication to community impact. Born and raised in East Oakland, Heaven attended high school in Berkeley and Richmond, experiences that deepened their connection to the Bay Area and fueled their passion for giving back. Heaven earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Sociology and Political Science from California State University, Chico, grounding their work in a commitment to equity and social change.
Heaven’s journey in youth mentorship began with roles that emphasized fostering relationships, supporting academic achievement, and creating meaningful opportunities for personal growth. Heaven's approach is centered on building trust and empowering young people to see their limitless potential. Heaven takes pride in being a resource and advocate for youth, helping them navigate challenges and celebrate successes along the way.
Outside of work, Heaven enjoys cooking, traveling, and immersing themselves in music. Heaven finds joy in creating shared experiences that connect people and inspire new perspectives.
