Staff: Ashlei Hurst

Ashlei Hurst is a passionate community leader who believes deeply in the power of relationships to change lives. As Associate Executive Director at Friends of the Children – SF Bay Area, she is excited to support young people in building bright futures through consistent, caring mentorship.

With a background in social work, affordable housing, and community development, Ashlei has spent her career bringing people together, strengthening neighborhoods, and creating opportunities for families to thrive. She is especially inspired by the organization’s long-term commitment to youth and the lasting impact it creates.

Outside of work, Ashlei is a proud mom who loves traveling, discovering new coffee shops, dancing, and sharing good food and laughter with friends and family.
