Bill joined Friends of the Children–SF Bay Area in August 2020. He grew up in New York and Taiwan in a bilingual household. Throughout high school, he served on overseas mission trips every summer in underprivileged communities in rural Taiwan, teaching elementary school children English and helping set up sustainable infrastructures for the local churches.
Bill graduated from UC Berkeley where he earned degrees in Data Science and Environmental Economics & Policy. He also completed a minor in City & Regional Planning because of his interest in learning about how racial, economic, and environmental inequalities affect the people in different communities.
Prior to his start at Friends–SF Bay Area he worked with Susan and Yemi at the Center for Environmental Health where he set up a new Salesforce database and collaborated with teams on effective, mission-driven fundraising campaigns. When not working, Bill loves traveling, meeting new people in different parts of the world and trying local foods.
